James Lasry steps down as Chairman of the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society

The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society wishes to inform the general public that James Lasry has decided to step down as Chairman and Director of the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society.


The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society wishes to thank Mr. Lasry for the great service and commitment he has rendered to the Society over the last thirteen years and furthermore wishes to acknowledge Mr. Lasry’s invaluable contribution to the Society’s ongoing success.


The Society’s Artistic Director Karel Mark Chichon OBE, FRAM, added “it has been my pleasure to work alongside James during the last thirteen years, during which time we have seen the Society continue to develop from strength to strength. I know all of us at the Society will wish James all the very best in the future as he now concentrates his efforts on other interesting pursuits in life. In recognition of his service, the Society has named Mr. Lasry as one of its Patrons alongside His Excellency the Governor, the Chief Minister and Ian Angus, the Society’s founding Chairman.”


The Society’s outgoing Chairman, James Lasry said “It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society these past years and I would like to thank Maestro Chichon and all those who have contributed to its success.”
