Aida Delaney
Former Headteacher of St. Mary's First School. She studied P.E. and Dance and Primary Education between the years 1968 and 1971 at Endsleigh Teacher Training College in Hull, Humberside. Together with Mario Arroyo, later Leslie Zammitt and more recently Maria Loddo she was the external examiner for many years at both Comprehensive Schools for "Theatre and the Performing Arts".
She was chairperson for N.C.W.G. (National Curriculum Working Group) Music committee for over 10 years.
She was the music teacher at Governor's Meadow First School for 18 years, before her promotion to Headteacher.
Music is an important subject at St. Mary's First and pupils are encouraged to perform with voice, percussion, tuned instruments and through ICT compositions.
