Romain Guyot - Clarinet Recital

The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society and The Bonita Trust are pleased to announce the return of clarinetist Romain Guyot since his spell-binding performance of Rossini’s “Introduction, Theme and Variations for Clarinet and Orchestra”, and especially his rendition of Mozart      ‘s Adagio from his “Clarinet Concerto in A major, KV622” back in December 2006 and which has members of audience present that day still speaking about it.

Mr Guyot will perform alongside pianist Yuki Nakajima on Monday 8th October 2007 at The Convent Ballroom commencing at 8:30pm.

Mr Guyot and Mrs Nakajima will perform works by Camille Saint-Saens, Andre Messager,
George Gershwin and Claude Debussy and a spokesman for the society said that “Mr Guyot only had the opportunity to perform 3 works at the last concert as this involved other performers but now we’re in for a real treat as he will perform his own recital and lovers of classical music, especially lovers of classical works written for the clarinet will see that this man’s technique, artistry and elegance are unsurpassed. This one is not to be missed”.

Tickets for the concert priced at 15 pounds each are available from Sacarello’s Coffee Co. in Irish Town and Solomon Levy Estate Agents in Convent Place. Credit/debit card purchases or further information are also available direct from the Society on telephone 72134. A limited number of tickets are also available to Senior Citizens at a reduced price via The John Mackintosh Hall at 308 Main Street.
