Chichon to debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York & Teatro alla Scala Milan
Local conductor Karel Mark Chichon will be making his debut in two of the top opera houses in the world – The Metropolitan Opera House of New York and Teatro alla Scala of Milan.
In 2015 Maestro Chichon is scheduled to conduct Puccini: La Boheme at the Teatro alla Scala of Milan in a run of twelve performances, whilst in 2016 Maestro Chichon is scheduled to conduct another Puccini opera, Madama Butterfly, at the Metropolitan Opera House of New York for a run of thirteen performances.
In addition to this and his permanent positions as Chief Conductor of the SWR Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Orchestra and the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Karel continues to regularly conduct at the leading opera houses in Europe such as the Vienna State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Zurich Opera House and Teatro Massimo di Palermo with future contracts and collaborations planned until the year 2015.
