Soprano Isabel Rey returns to Gibraltar
The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society is proud to welcome back internationally acclaimed soprano Isabel Rey. Ms Rey, whose unforgettable performance together with tenor Jose Carreras in 1997 won the hearts of music lovers in Gibraltar, will perform a special Valentine’s Day concert entitled “con amore” on Friday 14 February at the John Mackintosh Hall. This will be Ms Rey’s third return visit to the Rock – her last performances were in 1998 in two sold-out concerts.
Sponsored by Barclays, Isabel Rey “con amore” will see the famous soprano perform zarzuela, operatic arias, Italian, Spanish and German songs with a special emphasis on love songs.
Tickets priced at £20 and £25 will be on sale as from this Monday 27th January from The House of Sacarello in Irish Town, Solomon Levy Estate Agents in Convent Place. Tickets may also be purchased using a credit card – please telephone number 78267 ext 234 during office hours (credit-card purchased tickets can be collected at the door on the night).
Patrons are advised that there is a great demand for tickets due to the fact that there is only one performance. They are therefore urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
