Charlie Siem

A rising star in the Classical world

The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society ends its 2009 – 2010 Season with its Violin Recital in association with The Bonita Trust featuring young violin virtuoso Charles Siem at the Convent Ballroom on 28 June commencing at 9:00pm. Mr Siem will be accompanied by pianist Christopher Hopkins.

A spokesman for the society commented “Charlie is an inspiration for many young people. He has been playing the violin since the age of three and went professional at the age of twelve and has managed to release a highly internationally praised album Sonatas for the violin by Elgar and Grieg in 2008 being only 22 years old! With no doubt, here we can witness the rise of a star.”

On the evening Mr Siem will perform music by Grieg, Brahms, Mozart and Paganini.

Tickets are priced at £20 each and are now available from The House of Sacarello in Irish Town and The Silver Shop at 222 Main Street. Credit/debit card purchase is also available by phoning the Society on 20072134. A limited number of tickets are also available to Senior Citizens at a reduced price via The John Mackintosh Hall at 308 Main Street
