Unforgettable Piano Clarinet Recital with Ingrid Fliter and Anton Dressler
The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society, in association with the Bonita Trust, have the great privilege of presenting one of the leading pianists of our times Ingrid Fliter and renowned clarinettist Anton Dressler, for a recital at the Convent Ballroom on 9th February 2010 commencing at 8:00pm.
“We are very fortunate to be able to have Ingrid Fliter return to Gibraltar after a fantastic and sold-out concert back in 2009. Her temperament and intelligence, combined with her passion and charisma signals Ingrid out of many other fine pianists. In the age where exclusive recording artists are few and far between, Ms Fliter became an exclusive EMI recording artist and released her first CD in April 2008 with an all-Chopin programme which has received critical acclaim throughout the world. This will be a debut in Gibraltar for clarinettist Anton Dressler who is described by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera as a clarinettist of “spellbinding sensibility”, with a “superb intonation, a unique sense of intimacy” priced by the Bologna “Resto del Carlino”.
Once again, The Gibraltar Philharmonic Society has been able to collaborate the colourful duet of piano and clarinet as is exemplified by Beethoven’s sonata, Chopin’s waltzes and Debussy’s rhapsody,” commented Artistic Director.
Tickets priced at £20 each are now available from The House of Sacarello in Irish Town and The Silver Shop at 222 Main Street. A limited number of tickets are also available to Senior Citizens at a reduced price via The John Mackintosh Hall at 308 Main Street.
